November 17th: Nashuva’s 15th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon
at Hope Street- Downtown Los Angeles

Please join us this year to celebrate Nashuva’s 15th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon with Pico-Union Family Preservation Center/Hope Street, which offers services to low income, at-risk families. Our celebration consists of a Thanksgiving luncheon, Arts & Crafts for the children and Nashuva Mitzvah bags for the Hope Street families filled with food, staples and a little something for the kids. We need food for the banquet in large quantities and lots of necessities for our Mitzvah Bags.
Our Hope Street Families often do not know where their next meal will be coming from. Every year, the Nashuva community brings Thanksgiving, arts & crafts, and gifts to this downtown LA community. How can you help? We’re so glad you asked!
Opportunities to Volunteer include collecting items for the event, set up/clean up, preparing the gift bags, leading arts & crafts for the kids, preparing and serving food at the luncheon. Students can use their volunteer hours for school community service reporting!

In addition to your precious time, requested donations include:
- Purchase or prepare non-meat, non-dairy food for the Luncheon
- Purchase items for the gift bags, which will be distributed to each family
- Sponsor a Turkey ($100 suggested donation)
SPONSOR A KOSHER TURKEY ($100)
Turkeys are an integral part of this event. Let us know if you can sponsor one or more kosher turkeys. You can donate by clicking on the Donate button below. All donations welcome! If you have any questions about donations for turkeys, please email us ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org.

BANQUET FOOD: Homemade or purchased foods are OK. Our banquet is Kosher, so please no dairy or meat. Please bring foods in large quantities, in bowls ready to serve with serving utensils.
Vegetable dishes (e.g. green beans, broccoli, roasted vegetables)
Yams and/or Sweet Potato dishes
Water bottles and Juices
Dinner paper plates
Plastic knives, forks, spoons
MITZVAH BAGS: (quantity 150)
We ask all attendees to bring (new, unexpired and unopened) items to fill the 150 gift bags in addition to their donation to the buffet.
