November Social Action 2020

Nashuva’s [Virtual] Thanksgiving
Celebration with the Hope Street Family Center will be delivered this year!

~ Supporting 100 families through donations and gifts ~

A Virtual Thanksgiving

Serving at-risk families a delicious Kosher Thanksgiving meal in addition to hosting arts & crafts booths, and providing each family with a gift bag filled with nutritious groceries and basic household items is a yearly highlight for our volunteers. Sadly, that’s not possible this year.

In light of coronavirus restrictions, Hope Street has requested that we provide 100 Thanksgiving gift baskets that can be distributed to their families.

You Donate. We Deliver.

Donation Deadline: Thursday, Nov. 19th

No cooking this year. No turkeys. Instead, Nashuva’s social action team will purchase fresh produce and other perishable items using funds donated by the Nashuva community. Hope Street families have a need for basic household supplies. Our focus this year will be on meeting those needs.

Two ways for you to help:

  1. Donate to Nashuva. We will purchase and distribute perishable items.
  2. Sign up to purchase household items for gift bags to be distributed to each family. A list of items is on the signup page and includes cleaning supplies, shelf-stable foods, and basics like rice and beans. Remember, we’re distributing to 100 families when you make your purchases!

Thank you! We look forward to celebrating together next year!
