Honoring Women Rabbis and Nashuva’s Own Rabbi Naomi Levy

Join us live this Wednesday, April 6 at 4:30 pm for a free on-line commemoration of the 50th anniversary of women in the Rabbinate and our own Rabbi Naomi Levy.

We are blessed at Nashuva to have Rabbi Naomi Levy as our spiritual leader. She is a pioneering Rabbi, who has broken many barriers over the years. Among other things, she was a member of the first class at Jewish Theological Seminary’s Rabbinical School in NYC that included women and the first female conservative Rabbi to head a pulpit on the west coast.

On this Wednesday April 6 at 4:30 PDT, Stories from the Fringe will be presented by The Braid (formerly known as the Jewish Women’s Theater), highlighting some of the stories of these amazing pioneering female Rabbis. Rabbi Levy will offer opening remarks and will service on a panel discussion after the show. Tickets are complimentary (Click Here to Register for Livestream) with an option for donations.

Info about a wonderful companion art exhibition, Holy Sparks, which pairs 24 female Rabbis (including our own) with 24 female artists can be found at https://the-braid.org/holy-sparks/

Kol Ha’Kavod and Yasher Koach to Rabbi Levy and all pioneering women Rabbis!
