Tashlich is a time to release the weight of the year that is now behind us. We release our wrongdoings, whatever needs to be left behind.

Please join us for an amazing service at Venice Beach (where Venice Blvd meets the sand.) We will do Tashlich, cast our burdens and wrongs into the sea, have a drum circle and blow the shofar. Our joyous Drum Circle is the largest in the nation and has been written about by Reuters and the Los Angeles Times, among others.

We’ll conclude by welcoming Shabbat together with community-wide candle lighting, kiddush and challah.

If you are joining us for Tashlich, In-person services, please bring:

  • Piece of bread for throwing
  • Challah (as we welcome Shabbat) Nashuva will be providing Challah but we do not expect to have enough for all. So please bring your own.
  • Sunscreen
  • Sweater
  • Hat
  • Blanket (to sit on),
  • Water
  • Percussion instrument for drum circle

We will be distributing drums and shakers, on a first come, first served basis, so please bring your own drum, shaker or tambourine, if possible.

Please dress casually in white (you may want to bring a sweater, bring sunscreen, hat, blanket to sit on, water), bread for throwing, your own challah for Shabbat and a percussion instrument.

Please spread the word and invite all your friends to join us!
