How is Nashuva different from other prayer experiences you’ve had?
Nashuva is more inclusive than other places I’ve prayed. It’s very cool to be working with Naomi. She’s very spiritual and she keeps teaching me how prayer can change things for the positive.

What’s it’s like to play at Nashuva?
Challenging, fun, and spiritually uplifting.

What is it like Playing with the band?
There is a great camaraderie.

How would you describe the Nashuva service?
It’s an all inclusive prayer. I was born and raised a Catholic. That’s where my roots are. Playing at Nashuva is different, yet the same. We’re all praying to the same God. It’s cool everybody’s praying in their own way and that brings us together.

What is the Connection between your Music and your prayer?
Music and prayer–they both come from the same source. They’re both from the spirit. It’s feeling a connection to the spirit.

How would you describe the Nashuva musical experience?
Nashuva’s music is eclectic. It draws from many different influences: Jewish, African, a certain pop influence, there is also a Paul Simon and his Graceland influence. Nashuva’s music makes me think in a different way about how I approach music. It opens you up.
