Nashuva Hope Street Carnival

For the fourth year in a row, our Nashuva teens are organizing and running a carnival at the Pico Union Family Preservation Center on Hope Street for children and families at risk of abuse. This is the same community where we have held Thanksgiving for the past few years.

The carnival will include games, prizes, food, entertainment, DJ, face painting, art projects and more. In past years, we have celebrated with over 150 kids and families from Hope Street. This is a very exciting and ambitious event that kids at Hope Street look forward to every year. It provides our teens many leadership and community service opportunities. Bring your elementary school-age kids to play, and encourage your teens to participate!

We need your help to ensure the teens’ success. - We need teen volunteers to take shifts at the booths and run the activities, as well as to set-up/clear-up. Community service hours will be earned. - We need donations to cover the cost of the carnival. Even though this is a teen led event, they cannot do it without your help. The teens will need to raise around $1,500.
